Our ability to build tables with this level of confidence and accuracy comes from years spent in the billiards services industry. During that time, we had the privilege of learning directly from Mark Gregory, one of the most respected pool table mechanics in the industry. His influence shaped the standards we hold today, not as a consultant to LMNTL, but as a master whose teachings elevated our understanding of what makes a table perform at an exceptional level.
Through our services company, DFW Billiard Professionals, we worked on every major table brand, every engineering philosophy, and a wide range of restoration projects. We restored antique tables more than a century old, rebuilt classic Brunswick models, and refinished newer tables needing structural repair or cosmetic renewal. This depth of hands-on work gave us a clear understanding of what makes a table great, what leads to inconsistency, what designs fail over time, which materials age well, and which engineering methods create reliable long-term performance.
Mark Gregory did not consult for LMNTL, but his influence cannot be separated from the standards we carry today. Through years of mentorship in the billiards service world, we learned principles of precision rail work, pocket geometry, cushion calibration, slate leveling, structural stability, and
professional-grade tolerances.
Even during the early concept builds for the Genesis Line, Mark remained an important point of reference. His decades of mechanical experience gave us insight as we explored design ideas never before attempted in the industry. While Mark was not a consulted engineer on the project, we sought his perspective to understand why certain engineering norms existed and what risks or advantages accompanied pushing past them. His influence is present throughout the Genesis Line, not in the design itself, but in the standards we hold and the questions we ask.

His restoration mastery made him a consistent source of insight for Brunswick over the years. His most recent contracted involvement with Brunswick allowed him to contribute feedback and guidance during the development of the new Gold Crown 7. This demonstrates the level of craftsmanship and engineering understanding behind the standards we aim to uphold.
